53 Covid cases reported in Sindh

Spokesperson says most of the population has been successfully vaccinated against Covid

KARACHI:

Covid cases have increased in Sindh, officials said on Thursday.

According to Sindh Health Department, 53 positive cases of Covid have been confirmed in Sindh during the last 24 hours.

The department said that 449 people were tested for Covid infection, while the rate of positive cases has been recorded at 11.8 per cent. As per the statement 12 Covid patients are under treatment across the province, the condition of four patients is critical, but none of the patients are on ventilators. According to the spokesperson of the Sindh Health Department, the people who were tested for the Covid virus include those who already had the symptoms of the coronavirus, due to which the rate of positive cases has increased.

The spokesperson said most of the population has been successfully vaccinated against Covid. In very few serious cases, people should use masks.
