15 alleged poachers apprehended

The Punjab Wildlife Department conducted a major operation in four districts of Rawalpindi Division and arrested 15 alleged poachers who were hunting wild boars, black partridges, wild pigeons, and guest water birds with the help of hunting dogs.

Moreover, they recovered four wild boars, nine wild pigeons, and seven wild black pheasants from their possession.

The alleged accused were fined Rs1,82,000 and were sent to jail. As per sources, seven hunters were arrested for hunting wild boars and pigeons with the help of hunting dogs in the forests of Attock, all the hunting equipment was seized from their possession and they were fined Rs90,000 upon violation.
