Abandoned newborn found alive
A newborn baby girl was found abandoned near a graveyard in the Bhurban Kahia area on the outskirts of Murree and was shifted to hospital by Rescue 1122.
According to reports, a passer-by spotted the infant early Tuesday morning near the graveyard and immediately alerted Rescue 1122. The rescue team reached the spot promptly, took the baby into custody and carried out an initial medical examination on-site before providing first aid.
The infant was then shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Murree, for further care. After her condition was declared stable, the hospital administration handed the baby over to the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Rawalpindi, under the Punjab government.
