Man remanded to judicial custody for burning son alive

Court sought challan of the case from investigating officer at the next hearing

KARACHI:

The Judicial Magistrate West has sent the accused, who allegedly set his 12-year-old son alive for not studying and doing his homework, to jail on judicial remand.

The case was heard before the Judicial Magistrate West in the Karachi City Court. The police produced the arrested accused, Nazir Khan, before the Magistrate. The court sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.

The court has sought the challan of the case from the investigating officer at the next hearing.

According to the plaintiff's lawyer Shehryar Ali Advocate, the court has ordered the investigating officer to complete the report and submit it to the court.

Accused Nazir Khan had threatened in the past to burn his son alive. According to the victim's mother, I will do everything to win my son's case. The father allegedly set his 12-year-old Shaheer on fire after sprinkling kerosene oil on him because he was not studying and doing his homework, according to the police.

Shaheer sought permission from his father to fly kite. When Nazir asked Shaheer about his studiesto which, Shaheer couldn't give a satisfactory answer, which allegedly enraged Nazir.
