An investigation report into the death of a child who fell into a manhole at BMC Hospital Quetta has been submitted to Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.
The officials responsible for the incident and the supervisor of the security company and other concerned staff have been immediately suspended.
The investigation report was submitted to the Chief Minister within 12 hours and in the report it has been pointed out that the hospital management failed to perform its duties.
The report has fixed responsibility and stated that the Resident Medical Officer (General) was found guilty of criminal negligence in performing his administrative duties.
The investigation team recommended the immediate suspension of Resident Medical Officer (General) and his staff including supervising staff and action was also recommended against them.

The investigation team also recommended early completion and activation of hospital security system and 56 CCTV cameras.
Show cause notices will be issued to the officials within three days under the Beda Act 2011.
In the inspection team report, the private security company of the hospital has also been found guilty of negligence and directed the hospital administration to immediately close the open gutters and ensure the safety of patients and caregivers.
