The Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) would play a crucial role in industrial development in the country, said Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of FIEDMC IQTM Training Centre, he stated that the newly established centre would link education with practical training, which would provide skilled manpower for the industrial sector.
“It will help Pakistan enter the fourth industrial revolution,” Sarwar said, adding, “Progress and prosperity are directly linked with industrialisation.”
“It will provide skilled manpower to the industrial units to be established in the Special Economic Zone, Allama Iqbal Industry City and other industrial zones.”
The governor added that linkages between the industry and academia were imperative for national development. He emphasised that FIEDMC and universities should collaborate to ensure provision of trained manpower for the industrial sector.
“There are several opportunities in the business sector but only those nations can avail themselves of these opportunities which can maintain quality and standard,” he added.
