Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) on Saturday approved a beautification project to make Rawalpindi a model city.
Under the project, all roads, intersections, underpasses, flyovers, and all 105 pillars on the metro bus track would be beautified and painted. Besides this, the plantation and installation of LED lights on multiple locations of the city will also be done.
The project will commence next week with two private companies contracted for the purpose. The companies will work in exchange for ad space.
PHA Chairman Asif Mehmood told The Express Tribune that 105 pillars of the metro bus track will be painted.
