Ramazan: Ruet-e-Hilal committees to meet on Sunday

LAHORE: The central and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees will meet on Sunday to confirm the moon-sighting for Ramazan. The holy month of Ramazan is likely to start from August 1.

The session of the central Ruet-E-Hilal committee will be held in Karachi whereas the zonal committee meeting will be held at the Radio Pakistan building in Lahore on Sunday.

The meteorological department team will also attend the zonal committee session.

According to the met office, there is a high possibility of sighting the moon on Sunday due to clear weather therefore the first fast is most likely to fall on August 1.

sunday is 28th shabaan.. they will meet and say "oh sorry!! its 28th... but doesnt matter, let us have a dinner here". this is pretty normal in our government. this is a ridiculous news. should have been investigated before printing...
