Uzbek embassy organises painting competition

Over a hundred students participate in ceremony

ISLAMABAD: The Uzbekistan Embassy in Islamabad organised a painting contest titled ‘Uzbekistan through the eyes of Pakistani children’ in order to pay tribute and to celebrate the birthday of the great Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur.

More than a hundred young students between the ages of 6-12 years from various top schools of Islamabad participated in the competition.

The embassy posted the beautiful paintings on its official Facebook profile. The contest started on February 7 and ended on February 13.

The embassy decided the winners based on the number of likes each painting’s picture received on social media.

UAE-based artists showcase ‘Nostalgia’ at the Art Citi Gallery in Karachi

Almost 15,000 people showed their interest by liking the pictures of the young artists’ work.

According to the results, Davarzani Ekaterina is the winner of the competition as she got 1800 likes on the picture of her artwork.

Aribah Basit was declared the runnerup as her painting got 1400 likes. Amalia got 3rd position as she received 1300 likes on her painting and Muhammad Mustufa came 4th in this competition with almost 700 likes on his painting.

All the winners of the contest were invited as guests at the Uzbek Embassy. The Uzbek Ambassador Furqat Sidiqov appreciated the work of the young students and distributed gifts such as an LED TV, a tablet, mobile phone and a drawing set among them.
