The business community was playing an important role in the development of the economy, stated newly appointed Chief Commissioner of Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed. Talking to a delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) at his office, Ahmed gave them assurances that he would play a vital role in resolving key issues of the businessmen. “Efforts will be made to improve law and order situation in markets, commercial centres and industrial areas in consultation with the ICCI,” he emphasised. “Involvement of private sector in the city’s development in a better way will be prioritised.” On the occasion, ICCI President Ahmed Hassan Moughal highlighted the issues that needed immediate attention of the city administration. He assured the chief commissioner that the business community would provide full support.
