RAWALPINDI: The documentation of economy is vital for its uplift, said Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Malik Shahid Saleem and urged the government to introduce amendments in laws so that registration of income tax filing can be made hassle-free.

Addressing a training session, he said the documentation of economy is the only solution to meet the challenges of falling exports. He demanded the government to expedite work on strategic trade policy framework aimed at proficient introduction of Pakistani products, improving regional connectivity and providing a business-friendly environment.

“To eradicate the decline in exports, there is a need to revise the preferential list of items under free trade agreements and preferential trade agreements with neighbouring countries,” he added.
