QUETTA: Notable tribal leader and Balochistan National Party (BNP) central leader Haji Lashkari Raisani has expressed serious concerns over the government’s performance, saying bad governance and corruption have worsened the condition of the province.
“Unemployment ratio is touching new heights and will affect the future generations,” said Lashkari Raisani in a video message on Thursday.

The BNP leader said, “The BNP has ensured a comprehensive policy and if given a chance to govern, the party will end constant crisis in Balochistan.”
He said, "Today we are in a miserable condition due to continuous exploitation and corruption. From North to South, Balochistan is facing water crisis which not only includes drinking water but also irrigation. If quick measures are not taken, Balochistan can face the worst crises possible."
He said that water crisis was not the only issue the people of Balochistan were facing, “lack of employment is another alarming issue in the province”.

“Political parties must come together to play their part in fighting these prolonged crises in the province,” he added.
He said that the current system of governance had only caused more trouble in the province.
“Corrupt and incapable representatives of the National Assembly and the provincial assembly have become a source of misery for the people of Balochistan. It is time to take politically wise measures to ensure improvement in the province,” Lashkari added.
He said the condition of the largest city of the province – Quetta - was no different than the rest. “Recent governments failed to provide basic necessities to the people of the city,” he said. “Quetta is facing water shortage and traffic jam issues. Hospitals lack facilities and locals are unable to receive proper treatment.”
Raisani said, “The BNP is focused on changing the lifestyle of the people of the province and if given a chance will put their hearts out to end these severe crises.”
