QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal has said that his party will participate in the upcoming general elections with an ideological vision.
“The vision is progress and development of Balochistan,” he said while talking to party leaders and workers on Saturday.
BNP-M Senior Vice President Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, member central committee Sajid Khan Tareen Advocate, Khuzdar district Vice President Jahanzeb Baloch and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

He said that in 2013 elections, the mandate of the BNP-M was snatched and given to those parties, which instead of doing something for the province, looted and plundered its resources.
“The party’s central committee has devised a policy for the elections,” he said. “No party can gain popularity among the masses without an ideology and when a party affiliates with the people, no one can defeat it.”
Mengal said that the BNP-M believed in struggling for people’s rights.

Responding to a question, he said that his party would enter an alliance for the upcoming elections keeping in view the interests of Balochistan, instead of its own.
“Our doors are not closed to an electoral alliance with anyone,” he said.
“We will support development [projects] for the people of the province,” he added.
