MULTAN: A labourer was killed while two others suffered injuries when the roof of an under-construction furniture factory building collapsed in Timbre Market. Rescue 1122 officials said that labourers were busy in working in the factory when its roof collapsed.

As a result, Muhammad Sharif was killed, while Ramzan and Muhammad Shakir suffered injuries. The injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, custom staff seized 14 mobile phones from two passengers at Multan International Airport.

CDA moves against illegal construction

Customs Assistant Collector Omer Bin Zafar said the customs staff deputed at the airport seized nine smart phones, including six brand new and three slightly used from a passenger, Kumail Hussain, who had come from Dubai.
