Judge handed down death sentence to Muhammad Ramzan and awarded life term to two of his accomplices

SARGODHA: A court awarded death sentence to a murder convict and life term to two others for their involvement in a murder case in Sargodha on Thursday.

The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Saadat Hussain Malik. The prosecution told the court that accused Muhammad Ramzan, Ahmad Nawaz, Ahmed Khan, Ejaz, Lakh Mir and Haq Nawaz had gunned down Mehr Muhammad over a property dispute in 2015.

The local police registered a case against the accused and presented the challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge handed down death sentence to Muhammad Ramzan and awarded life term to two of his accomplices. However, the court acquitted three co-accused due to lack of evidence.

Earlier, a court awarded death sentence to a murder convict for his involvement in a murder case in Sargodha. The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Shahzad Raza. Convict Wajid had gunned down a woman Kaneez Bibi over a family dispute in 2014.
