Luxurious cars, sport bikes attract massive crowd in Faisalabad

Visitors at auto show say only a few can afford luxurious cars and sport bikes

FAISALABAD: A massive crowd turned up to see modern and high-tech cars and sports bikes during a show organised by Boulevard Mall at the Canal Road. The fans of these modern and latest automobiles expressed keen interest in the show.

Sport bikes put on display at the show attracted the youngsters who took more interest in latest model of sport bikes than cars. Illuminated with multi-coloured party lights and the beat of music, the show started at 7:00pm. Several luxurious cars including Limousine, Lesen Acura, BMW and others were on display for the fans who took pictures with vehicles only few can afford. Two Limousine cars remained focus of attention for many visitors while as many as 25 types of sport bikes attracted the youth.



Muhammad Aslam, a visitor told The Express Tribune that he was really surprise to see such a wonderful event. He said being an automobile lover, he was used to pay a visit to almost all the auto shows in the Punjab. “Auto manufacturing is ranked amongst the top three taxpaying industries in the country,” he said.

He said the automobile industry was vital for the progress and development of every country and play key role in building the economy of a country. “Pakistan must manufacture its own cars so that people could buy affordable vehicles.”

Another visitor Saifullah said such shows provide citizen with an opportunity to get refuge from the monotonous daily routine.

Another visitor Bilal urged the government to cut the prices of automobiles which were skyrocketing with each passing year. He said the country must start manufacturing its own products rather than importing them. “We have to produce good engineers in automobile industry so that the target of affordable cars manufactured in our own country could be materialised.”



Bilal, another fan of luxurious automobiles, said this was the first time he got a chance to see a Limousine. He said his daughters asked him to buy a luxurious car. “Due to financial constraints and high prices, I cannot even think of buying a simple car,” he said.

A visitor Usman Ali said new auto policy was attracting foreign companies to invest in Pakistan. He voiced hope that the incentives offered in the auto policy would bring positive change in the industry and would attract more business growth along with increasing consumers’ choice. He said the demand for big and strong engine vehicles was gradually increasing in the country.

A visitor Muhammad Ismail criticised the government over its failure in addressing the problems of a common man. He said petrol prices have been reduced in the international market but on the contrary, the government increased the prices. He blamed that the government did not want to give relief to the common man. “The government has failed to provide even the basic facilities to the people,” he remarked.

Yet another visitor Zeeshan Khan said he came to the auto show to see how many people could afford new and luxurious cars and sport bikes. “I cannot afford to buy any of them because I belong to a lower-middle class and cannot even dream of purchasing any such vehicle,” he said.
