Facilitating masses: Centre set up to treat psychological issues

Darul Sakoon Centre to treat people with disabilities through psychotherapy techniques.

FAISALABAD: A Darul Sakoon Centre has been established in Faisalabad for the treatment of psychological issues of people with disabilities through psychotherapy techniques.

While giving details on Friday, Tanzeem Al Lisan president Dr Iftikhar Ahmad said the centre had been established in the main campus of the organisation.

He added the number of people, especially students suffering from psychological problems could get benefit from the initiative.

He maintained mental and psychological issues like fear of failure in exam, inability to speak in front of class teachers or other people, problems in focusing on lectures or academic activities, confusion about career, lack of confidence, stress, negative changes in behaviour, aggression towards family/friends or other objects, sleep related problems and other issues would be cured though this centre with the assistance of experts and clinical psychologists.

“This is a unique idea for providing treatment facility to persons with mental disorders,” Dr Iftikhar  believed.
