Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep to star in drama about Pentagon Papers

'The Post' will focus on the role of The Washington Post in publishing study about America's role in the Vietnam War

Fans of veteran Hollywood actors Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep can rejoice! The dynamic duo will soon be teaming up with ace film-maker Steven Spielberg on The Post - a drama on the Pentagon Papers.

According to The Hollywood Reporterthe feature will focus on the role The Washington Post played in publishing the infamous study about America's role in the Vietnam War, centering on the work of editor Ben Bradlee (Tom) and publisher Kay Graham (Meryl).

Steven will direct from a  script written by Liz Hannah and also serve as producer. Meryl and him have previously worked together on A I, while Tom and the director have collaborated on a number of projects including Catch Me If You Can, The Terminal and, most recently, Bridge of Spies.

The Post marks the first time that Meryl and Tom will share the big screen.
