MIRPUR: The Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) government has set up a special fund for financial assistance of the Kashmiris injured by pellet guns besides the people disabled due to Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

These people would be provided medical care at international hospitals, AJK Prime Minister Farooq Haider said in a statement.

He said AJK was the base camp of the Kashmiri freedom movement and the people would continue to support their brethren across the LoC. The AJK cabinet had on Friday accorded formal approval for setting up a special fund allocating sufficient sum as seed money. This fund would be used for provision of quality medical treatment to those who sustained injuries in occupied Kashmir by pellet guns.

The AJK PM said occupation forces used massive violence to suppress the voice of the people. He said thousands of Kashmir youth lost their eye sight and sustained injuries in their resistance movement against Indian brutalities since July this year. Haider said India has left these victims alone and they all have been denied proper medical facilities.
