Public Health: Dengue surveillance ongoing, says DCO

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Muhammad Usman ordered the authorities concerned on Monday to expedite dengue mosquito surveillance activities in the city. He chaired a meeting at his offfice to review the dengue eradication arrangements.  Usman said that town administrations had been actively carrying out surveillance. He said that it was also the responsibility of citizens to keep their surroundings clean. The DCO requested citizens to extend full cooperation to dengue surveillance teams in their areas, he said. “We must work together to eliminate this threat,” he said. The DCO ordered that rain water be immediately removed to avoid breeding of mosquitoes. Town administrators and health executive district officers attended the meeting.
