Kidnapping Attempt: Lawyer seeks action against four

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Old Anarkali SHO on a petition filed by a lawyer seeking arrest of four people for attempting to abduct him. Ali Anjum submitted that Major (r) Qasim, Ghazanfar, Abbas and Saeed had tried to kidnap him but some other lawyers had rescued him. He said that on August 6, 2015, he had lodged an FIR against the suspects under Section 365 (kidnapping) and 511 (an offence punishable with life imprisonment or for a shorter term) of the Pakistan Penal Code. He said police had not arrested them. He said the suspects wanted to grab his land. Anjum requested the court to direct the SHO to arrest them.
