KARACHI: The home department notified on Tuesday the anti-terrorism court trying Salman Abro and his guards in the murder case of Suleman Lashari, that from now on, the case will be heard inside the central prison.

The letter stated that the decision was taken in view of the security concerns attached with the case. Abro, the son of a senior police officer, and his guards have been charged for the murder of Lashari, last year in Defence Housing Authority.

The case is currently in the evidence stage when the court examines the evidence against and in favor of the suspects. Abro pleaded innocence, contending that he did not kill Lashari. He insisted that he was attacked during the incident and suffered a bullet wound. On the other hand, Lashari's family maintained that their boy was shot dead by the accused, when he was studying for his exams in his balcony, at his residence.

The next hearing of the case will now be conducted inside the jail on December 4
