LAHORE:

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Punjab Organiser Chaudhary Sarwar on Wednesday requested the Election Commission of Pakistan to declare all polling stations sensitive and deploy Rangers or Pakistan Army there for the second phase of local government elections. In a letter to  the chief election commissioner, Sarwar said deployment of military personnel at all polling stations was imperative to avoid bloodshed. Sarwar said the first phase of local government polls had been marred by violence. He said the law and order situation in the province in the first phase of the polls had led to the death of 11 PTI workers. “The PTI has received threats from police and administration officials,” he said.
