Fight club: 13 injured in street brawls

Police rushed to the site and arrested six people, including two who were severely injured

At least 13 people were injured in street brawls in Swat district on Friday. The first incident occurred in Kas Kalam where 10 people were injured. According to Mingora DSP Ghulam Siddique, members of rival groups got into a violent street fight, hitting opponents with rods, stones and knives. “Police rushed to the site and arrested six people, including two who were severely injured, and rushed them to the hospital,” Siddique said. He added the fight was over a land dispute. In the second incident, Sohaib, a resident of Rang Mohallah, opened fire on Nauman, Asad and Pir Khan following a family dispute. All three men were severely injured and rushed to the hospital. Sohaib fled after the incident, however, an FIR has been registered and investigation is under way.
