Talking about the prime duty of politicians, he said they should discuss the problems of the people such as health and education facilities, as well as find ways to better the lifestyle of the common man and boost the country's economy. He advised the people to put pressure on their elected representatives for the resolution of their problems and, if they fail to meet their expectations, then stop attending their rallies and boycott them.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto always spoke of the problems of the common man and that is why he still lives in their hearts, he remarked. Shah asked the people to distance themselves from politicians who care little for them. He said dictators ruled this country for around 50 years and thus created hurdles in its development. "Pakistan is blessed with abundant natural resources and through proper utilisation of these resources, we can prosper," said Shah.
RAW threat
Commenting on the RAW's alleged plot to attack Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and others, he said he is our prime minister and if anything happens to him, then the plotters too will be eliminated.
Power outages
Referring to the power crisis, Shah said those who claimed to end load-shedding within three months, failed miserably to do so, even after clearing circular debt of Rs480 billion. "Had the Pakistan Peoples Party government done this, allegations of corruption would have been leveled against it," he claimed.
Shah appealed to the federal government to shelve the issue of the controversial Kalabagh Dam once and for all and think about the welfare of the people. Pakistan is facing multiple problems such as increasing population, health and education and others and the government should focus on these problems he said. Enough is enough Shah stated, we do not want to go against the government, but if it ignores people's problems now, then it might become intolerable later.
