ISLAMABAD:

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Wednesday the results of by-polls held so far had shown the public confidence in performance of the PML-N government.

“After the general election-2013, eight by-polls have been held in different constituencies, out of which PML-N has won six,” he said talking to different news channels.

The result shows PML-N’s performance and the confidence of masses in the policies introduced by the government since it came into power after the general election, he added. Contrary to the PML-N’s performance, the minister said, PTI lost various seats including in Mianwali and Peshawar where its candidates were declared successful in the 2013 election.

He said, the PML-N had the desire that all political parties should accept each other’s mandate given by the public in 2013 polls, so that the confronting issues like terrorism, energy and economic challenges could be tackled effectively.
