Police bust gang involved in 'skimming' ATM data

The Punjab Police arrested on Saturday a gang involved in skimming data, and later stealing money from an ATM in Bakra Mandi Chowk of Rawalpindi.

According to Express News, the gang was caught red-handed after police raided the site resulting in an exchange of fire that injured one of the culprits.

Police said the gang was taking off a device put on the ATM to get account holders data for stealing their money.

The gang also included a foreigner who reportedly belongs to Romania.

Initial reports suggest the gang used to get the data of account holders, and would later use it to transfer the amount to Dubai, depriving people of millions of rupees.
