The Fame Monster named top album of 2010

LONDON: The highest grossing albums of 2010 include music sensations like Justin Beiber, Country singer Taylor Swift, Scottish singer Susan Boyle, Alicia Keys and many more. Pop singer Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster tops the list of biggest selling albums of 2010.

The Fame Monster, a repackaged version of her earlier disc The Fame, sold 5.8 million copies across the globe, according to the United World Chart, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

It was named the best-selling album of 2010. “I’m so excited for the future, believe and work hard, you will achieve your dreams,” Gaga posted on her Twitter account.

Eminem’s album Recovery sold 5.7 million copies and came in at second place on the chart and Canadian teen singer, Justin Bieber came in third place with 5.6 million sales for his My World album.

While Justin Bieber swept the Grammys this year, Alicia Keys made headlines with her campaign against HIV. However, what remains interesting about these top ten grossing musicians is that only one of them could make it to the top five live performances for the year which included U2, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, Metallica and the dynamic Lady Gaga.
