KARACHI:

Actor Alizeh Shah has taken to Instagram to share a troubling account of alleged inappropriate behaviour by a fellow actor during a recent project, raising fresh concerns about professionalism and boundaries on drama sets.

In a series of statements, Shah said she had been working with a "new co-actor" whose identity she chose not to reveal. According to her, the initial days of shooting were cordial, with light-hearted interactions among the cast. However, she claimed the tone soon shifted as jokes made by the co-actor became "offensive," prompting her to distance herself and maintain a strictly professional approach.

Describing a specific incident during filming, Shah alleged that while she was delivering her lines in a scene, her co-actor deliberately placed his foot over hers with force. "I said one dialogue, then another. On the third dialogue, he still didn't move," she said, adding that she eventually had to pull her foot away and stop mid-performance.

She further claimed that the discomfort extended beyond that moment.

Referring to another scene, Shah said the script required her to tap the co-actor on the waist, but he allegedly discouraged her from doing so. "He knew what he was doing," she implied, linking the behaviour to her decision to stop engaging with him socially after feeling uncomfortable with his remarks.

The actor's statement has sparked conversation online about workplace conduct in the entertainment industry, particularly for younger or emerging artists. Shah did not disclose the name of the project or the individual involved, and no response from the accused co-actor has yet emerged.
