Better facilities: Bomb and bullet proof vehicles for police

HYDERABAD: Each police station in Karachi will be given bullet and bomb proof vehicles, said Sindh IG Ghulam Hyder Jamali at a ceremony in Hyderabad on Sunday. He added that the police stations will be given these vehicles in the first phase. The police will also be equipped with SIM locators besides other gadgets that are necessary for modern day policing, Jamali explained. The Hyderabad police were given three bomb proof vehicles, including one to the Tando Yousuf police station, he said. Two inspectors, Muneer Abbasi and Salman Farooqi, both of whom are working on cases against terrorists, including Tahir Hussain Minhas the perpetrator of the Safoora Goth carnage, were also provided these vehicles recently.
