Rain, hailstorm hit Lahore

Rain inundates low-lying areas of provincial capital

Weather in Lahore changed pleasantly on Sunday as the city was hit by heavy showers, accompanied by hailstorms.

Low lying areas of the provincial capital were submerged while roads and streets overflowed with rain water.

“This was a temporary phenomenon that is witnessed in some areas during post-monsoon seasons,” Lahore Regional Meteorological Centre Director Mahr Sahibzad Khan told The Express Tribune.
