A 16-member delegation of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (Saarc) Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended a moot on arbitration where Pakistani fabric products were termed the best in the region.
Saarc Trade and Finance Economic Division Director L Savithri, along with other members of the delegation drawn from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, after the concluding session, visited various business centres including Anarkali Bazaar, Fortress, Liberty and The Mall for shopping.
Savithri said, “The collection of Lala Fabrics offered on the eve of Eidul Azha in the city was the best and most economical compared to all other countries of the South Asian region.” She said she had visited several countries but Pakistani cotton products were much superior.
He expressed the belief that the participants left the country with a hope to further trade among member countries.
