Corps Commanders conference reviews ‘external, internal’ security situation

Presided by army chief, meeting also discussed future of ongoing operations against terrorism

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif presided over the Corps Commanders conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday to discuss matters related to the country’s security situation.

An exhaustive review of professional matters vis-à-vis armed forces, internal and external security situation was carried out, according to the Inter-Services Public relations (ISPR),

The present situation and future of ongoing operations against terrorism also came under discussion.

The conference was held just two days after Pakistan celebrated Defence Day, during which the army chief said that the military was capable of responding to any internal or external threat.
