ATC rejects TLP workers' bail pleas

LAHORE:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday rejected the post-arrest bail applications of 12 workers of proscribed TLP in a case involving arson, vandalism, and alleged attacks on police.

ATC Judge Shahid Sikandar heard the bail applications and dismissed the applications of the accused, including Naeem Shah, Zeeshan Ahmed, Rashid, Bilal Liaquat, Muhammad Hussain, Abdullah, Abdul Majeed, and Intizar Hussain, among others.

During the proceedings, the state prosecutor opposed the bail requests, arguing that the accused were directly involved in acts of violence, including arson and assaults on law enforcement personnel.
