Doctors and the paramedical staff in Muzaffarabad on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against non-release of health allowance by the AJK finance department.
“The federal government has released funds to the AJK finance division under the head of health allowance, but finance officials are adopting delaying tactics to release the sum”, said Mir Jameel, one of the protesting employees.
He said that the federal government has released Rs1.5 billion to the AJK government but the amount has not been released to them so far. The protesting employees also announced that they will go on a strike if their issue was not sorted out by August 04.
