
He was addressing a public meeting at Kadi Adda rest house.
Bukhari said a survey for provision of safe drinking water to Cholistanis would soon be launched by the Punjab Clean Water Project managing director.
“The project will be completed this year and drinking water woes of the residents of the area will be resolved,” he said.
He said the Chief Minister’s Cholistan Package was being utilised to ensure sustainable development and welfare of Cholistan’s residents.
Bukhari was told that some citizens had faced problems getting No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the Forest Department. He assured them that the procedure would be simplified for their convenience.
He said the government had formed a plan to ensure allotment of land in Cholistan in a transparent manner.
He said people who had taken over lands through fraud would be taken to task.
He said action would be taken against lumberdars taking bribes for land allotment. He said land allotment was a right of the people.
