Deadly explosion: Four killed in gas cylinder blast

As a result of the explosion, the house’s walls fell down on the family and they were killed on the spot

QUETTA: A father and his three children were killed while three others sustained injuries after a gas cylinder exploded in the Touk area of Kalat district on Monday. According to the Balochistan Levies, resident Wahid Baksh used a gas cylinder to light his room which exploded in the middle of the night. During the early morning hours a spark ignited after electricity restored causing the gas cylinder to burst. As a result of the explosion, the house’s walls fell down on the family and they were killed on the spot. The deceased were taken to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy where they were identified as father Wahid Baksh and his three children Naseema, Haseena and Abdullah and injured as Habibullah, Mulla Baksh and Famida. After legal formalities the Balochistan Levies personnel have handed over the bodies to relatives for burial.
