MUZAFFARABAD:

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (AJKLA) passed on Thursday a unanimous resolution against Altaf Hussain over his anti-Pakistan remarks.

The joint resolution was presented by the Opposition Leader Raja Farooq Haider Khan which was unanimously passed by both treasury and opposition benches.

AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said that the government of Pakistan should take steps to get Altaf Hussain arrested through Interpol. “Altaf has changed his loyalty with Pakistan and its army which is unacceptable.”

Calling Altaf Hussain a ‘turncoat’ Majeed said the MQM chief, who is already in London, has no space in Pakistan. “Altaf Husasin has targeted the armed forces which are sacrificing their lives to bring peace and security in the country,” said Majeed.

The prime minister thanked the opposition and other parties who voiced against Altaf Hussain and passed a joint resolution against his anti-Pakistan vitriol.

Earlier, MQM’s two Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) Muhammad Tahir Khokhar and Muhammad Saleem Butt staged a walkout from the session, saying both the opposition and treasury members presented nine resolutions against MQM, but they were not given a chance to speak a single word on the floor which was undemocratic.

Khokhar, waving a CD, said they will present the proof before the nation what Majeed had said against some important national institutions on telephone during a conversation with Altaf Hussain.
