Routine audit: Utility stores to be closed tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Utility store outlets will remain closed across the country including the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Tuesday (tomorrow) for annual audit and stocktaking. The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) in a statement has apologised to the public and its customers for the inconvenience. Under a special Ramazan package, the utility store outlets have been providing edible and kitchen items to customers at subsidised rates. According to the USC statement, the Ramazan relief package has been going-on successfully across the country with availability of all daily used quality items at all outlets at subsidised rates. The utility stores are being run by the Ministry of Industries and Production. According to the statement, the secretary industries and production has been monitoring the outlets to ensure availability of items.
