KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) leader Owais Muzaffar was briefly detained at Karachi airport, but was allowed to travel after answering questions by authorities.

Muzaffar, who is a close aide of former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, was travelling to Dubai via Emirates flight EK-603, when he was stopped at the Jinnah International Airport Karachi late on Friday.

However, he was allowed to board his flight after being questioned. Muzaffar is heading to London where his brother, Waseem Muzaffar passed away a few days ago.

Meanwhile, the Secretary Education and Literacy Department of Sindh Fazalullah Pechacho, who was also stopped at the airport, was not allowed to leave the country. Pechuho is the brother-in-law of former Zardari.

The incident comes days after Rangers raided the offices of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and Lines Area Redevelopment Project (LARP) and arrested its officials.

Taking exception to the raids, the Sindh government had reminded the Rangers that the paramilitary force was transgressing its powers and authority.

The zardari and altaf gangs have looted sind, Karachi and their people hence if action is being taken against these looters then this is the greatest service being rendered to sind and Karachi.
