Surveillance: Depute five policemen at each picket, says CPO

FAISALABAD: CPO Fazal Kausar on Saturday directed station house officers to ensure presence of five policemen at each police picket.

He was addressing a meeting. The CPO said regular patrolling around pickets was an integral part of police duties. He said it played a major role in curbing crime.

The CPO said each picket should have at least one senior official and four junior staff. He said they should be issued weapons and ammunitions according to their needs. He said a police guard should be deployed in areas considered safe to monitor activities.

The CPO directed the SHOs to brief policemen about their duties before they departed from the police station.
