Twitter suspends account of charity linked to JuD

Account of Falah-e-Insanyat Foundation was suspended by Twitter

The Twitter account of charity Falah-e-Insanyat Foundation, which is linked to Jamaatud-Dawa (JuD), was suspended by the social network.

While no official comments were available from either side, hashtag #bringbackFIF began circulating, with JuD supporters, FIF sympathisers posting images and stories highlighting the organisation’s relief work.

Earlier in December 2014, the official Twitter accounts of JuD and its chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed were suspended by Twitter without any prior warning or notification.

The group blamed India for putting pressure on the micro blogging website to suspend its accounts.

Abu Zakir | 8 years ago | Reply What sense can you make of this move to suspend @FIFPakistan ? No apparent reason. The group does not violate any Twitter rules, unless there is some unwritten rule that forbids bearded ppl from helping others in distress.

In many cities of Pakiatan its work work is as prominent as a rising sun...! its a very shameless act of twitter to suapend the account we all severely comdemn this act..!

Taha Muneeb | 8 years ago | Reply FIF Pakistan is a largest NGO of Pakistan that works in each and every disaster quickly it works in different phases of releif operations 1.Cooked food 2.Flood 3.Earthquake 4.Medical Aid 5.Water Projects in thar and Balocghistan a bird eye view on the releif operations done by FIF Pakistan in different areas of Pakistan and neghbouring countries Iran,Burma,Indonishia and China in Pakistan 2005 Earthquake 2009 IDP's Sawat 2010-14 Floods 2014 IDP's Waziristan 2015 Nepal Earth Quake 1000 + water projects has been completed in Thar and Balochistan so its injustice to this NGO as working for Humanity without any caste, creed , color and religion it must be unblocked so that work for humanity can be published for the people if anyone has freedom of expression then why not for FIF Pakistan we strongly condemned this act of twitter

Its a global social media platform, you have accounts of porn stars up & runing there spreading sexual violence & causing increase in the rate of rape in the west, but nobody gives a dam about them! So why a humanitarian NGO got there twitter accounts suspended EVEN withoutwat any prior warning! That is very clear to us that the chants of free speech & freedom of speech of the west are for there own agendas & gains! #BringBackFiF #IAmFIFPakistan

salaar | 8 years ago | Reply FIF is a trademark when it comes to reaching out to disaster sites, relief and rehabilitation services. They have constructed hundreds of wells, waterprojects, solar panels and provided shelters to improvished people. Whenever there is a terrorist attack, FIF reches out to help victims. Twitter has proved to be biased, dual standard social network, yet again.
