RAWALPINDI:

The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has launched an operation to remove some signboards ahead of the Metro Bus Project’s inauguration. The operation was launched from Murree road up to Faizabad.

During the operation, authorities removed dozens of signboards and confiscated them, a statement issued by the TMA said.

Earlier, Metro Bus Project Chairman Hanif Abbasi said the multi-billion project is near completion.

He directed the contractors to speed up work so the public service bus could be inaugurated at the earliest.

He, however, did not confirm the date and venue of the inauguration of the project, which was originally said be inaugurated in March this year.
