RAWALPINDI: Punjab government would train 1,067 workers for its anti dengue campaign this year in the Rawalpindi division.

A meeting headed by Adviser on Health to Punjab Chief Minister Khwaja Salman Rafique on Thursday also decided to engage private sector in the campaign. According to the plan, doctors from the private hospitals will also be made part of the campaign.

The adviser inquired about stocks of necessary medicines at hospitals and insecticides to be used during the fumigation phase.

Meanwhile, the district government departments and organisations have been directed to improve indoor and outdoor larvae surveillance to nip the issue in the bud.
