Mohsin Baloch and Abid Kaloo were charged with killing former president of the Malir Bar association Salahuddin Haider and his son in Karachi's Memon Goth area in 2012.

The two convicts were arrested and made to appear before the court, where ATC Judge Anand Ram sentenced them death based on the testimony of witnesses and other evidence.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had called for an immediate arrest of the perpetrators, while chief justice of the Sindh High Court also took notice of the incident at the time.
Haider and his son were driving to work when four gunmen on two motorcycles opened fire on their vehicle, severely injuring both of them. The victims died on the way to the hospital.
