Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), on the directives of party leader Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has finally formed the divisional set-up of the party in Sindh.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, PML-N Sindh chapter president Muhammad Ismail Rahoo announced the office-bearers of all six divisions of the province.
According to the new set-up, Syed Munawar Raza has been nominated as the president for the Karachi division, Syed Shah Zaman Shah as the president for the Hyderabad division, Mir Amanullah Talpur as the president for the Mirpurkhas division, GM Shah as the president for the Shaheed Benazirabad division, Chaudhry Habibullah as the president for the Sukkur division and Ali Raza Chandio as the president for the Larkana division. Rahoo also appointed Dr Sham Sunder Advani as the president for the party's Sindh chapter minority wing and Qamar Zaman Rajpar as the president for the labour wing.
Voicing concerns
Rahoo said that the sugarcane crisis was creating severe problems for the growers. "The issue must be tackled by the provincial government immediately," he said, adding that the price of the cane crop should be fixed according to the demands of the farmers.
Expressing concern over Sindh's deteriorating law and order situation, the PML-N leader said that not a single area of the province was safe for the people. "The government has no writ in Sindh," he claimed, demanding that the Sindh government should restore peace across the province.
