LAHORE:

Justice Ayesha A Malik of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday sought a reply from the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) director general (DG) on a petition challenging a probe into purchase of equipment for laboratories of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA).

Former EPA director general Shagufta Shahjahan had filed the petition saying that the ACE did not provide her the opportunity of personal hearing.

But, she said, the investigation report had wrongfully stated that she had been heard. The petitioner asked the court to set aside the inquiry. Justice Malik directed the ACE DG to reply to the petition until Thursday (tomorrow).
