Pre-budget preparations: K-P launches consultation process

The objective of the consultation is to assess needs of people in all key sectors

ISLAMABAD: The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has launched a pre-budget consultation process, the objective of which is to assess needs of people in all key sectors. A consultative session was held at Nowshera under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Sikandar Zeeshan, according to a statement. Speaking at the occasion, Zeeshan stressed on the importance of the budget preparation process and urged department heads to undergo the exercise according to guidelines issued by the Provincial Finance Department and the Planning and Development Department. He further stated that this time the district government departments have the opportunity to assess their development needs, prioritise them and have them reflected in the provincial budget.
