After inspection of 234 polling stations of NA-122, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq's votes increased by 89 and now leads with 9,701 votes against PTI chairman Imran Khan (67,971).
The election tribunal, headed by Justice Kazim Ali Khan, formed a commission in the first week of December to open the ballot bags based on the rigging allegations made by Imran.
According to sources, the commission, which was tasked to complete the process within two weeks, could not find any evidence of rigging in the ballot bags of NA-122.
Imran, in his last hearing, requested the tribunal judge to open the ballot bags, stating that evidence of rigging would be found in the bags.
In the May 2013 elections, Sadiq defeated Imran. However, Imran alleged that his defeat was a result of rigging. His movement against the rigging allegations was focused on the audit of four NA seats, including NA-122. The tribunal will soon give a final verdict on the basis of the findings of the commission.

Chaudhry sahib, I could sense your affiliation to a certain political group. I respect that , the issue is not rigging, it is only a party based political issue , atleast in a national sense the real issue is an apathy to the two party political system in the country that has virtually delivered nothing for this nation except rising poverty , insecurity , corruption and hopelessness . I firmly believe as pakistani that we are not yet ready for true democracy for two reasons , one is that this nation has never experienced a real democracy , we have had brushes with sham democracies only .
The second reason is there had traditionally been a grand conspiracy from ruling elites to keep the literacy level from rising in order to maintain their hegemony .This has allowed the two political parties of elite interests to thrive. The hegemony of two party system gradually evolved into monarchism or at best oligarchism. The powers were vested on few it was not allowed to filter into grassroot level, so the gulf between have and have nots widened.rise to sectarianism, and anarchism in the country, the elite benefited and poor became poorer.
The nation should now rise against the failed political system, against this sham democracy , the status go, and elite hegemony and provide platform to more progressive parties who would genuinely empower the people. This nation needs to rise up from deep complacency and think beyond regional, ethnic , clan and traditional localities to any political groups.
Surprising to learn that there was no bogus voting. Onse of PML-N's MNA just came on live TV and reportred that there were some discripencies. Who is right, who is wrong.

Sorry sir, I respect your belief. I have a suggestion .Why don't we conduct a national audit of 2013 election , that would resolve the controversy once and for all. It would also effectively remove any moral ground PTI is standing on and prove IK as eccentric and divisive. Let this audit be conducted by special judicial commission formed by civil and security agencies as our own judiciary has lost credibility which would take some confidence building measures to restore.

Very misleading news. Ofcourse the votes are there, and they 'look' original with thumb impressions and all. How about running the ballots through a thumb verification machine to ascertain whether they are real or not.
Not finding counterfeit vote in NA122 was no surprise. Imagine the message it would have given to the world had the rigging been found. The sucessive stay orders were required to restore the sanctity of the mandate ,that too when it involved the Speaker of the National Assembly.If the stealthy restoration had failed the whole National Parliament could have been shamefully embarassed. The time won in stay orders were well spent and the original meddling was craftily restored beyond reasonable doubts.

I'm no supporter for noora, but as per law Imran khan should've presented evidence at the tribunal - he didn't. He simply said "open the bags the evidence is there" The tribunal gave more room and allowed this petition even though by law you can't jusy allow a recount without evidence.

It is really amazing to know the rechecking of ballot box of NA-122 that no illicit ballot papers and rigging is found. Now Imran if has the courage and moral value to appear on the media and publicly apologize on his behavior and attitude by using the filthy and vulgar language. I failed to understand that there were some ballot boxes or bags were missing and some were already opened up by some one, now they are telling us that everything is up and up. Who should we believe, it will be prudent to interview former NADRA chief who was removed unceremoniously and then let the nation know, why was he removed and why was his life threatened in Pakistan so he had to flee the country. If I recall correctly NADRA official had opened up some bags while the camera were turned off, who can we really rely upon for honesty. What were the political motives to delay the count for year and a half, we would not have these protests if the count was done when IK was demanding it. By the way these judges did not come from Mars, they are the product of Pakistani society, have any one experienced the dealings of the lower courts, same judges are promoted to become justices depending on tenure of their services. CAN ANY ONE REMEMBER HOW THE PRIME MINISTER Z A BHUTTO WAS HANGED AND WHO WERE THE JUDGES AND FROM WHICH PROVINCE. DOES ANY ONE RECALL CHIEF JUSTICE MUNIR's DECISIONS. Could some one refresh my memory about Pakistan's ranking for corruption in the world, figure it out why I am bringing the corruption scenario now. @Rizwan Aziz: The votes were recounted in presence of PTI reps. The problem with Imran Khan and his supporters is that they dreamt there was rigging and hence are not willing to accept otherwise. I don't know what kind of reporting express tribune is doing, on 24th-Dec they reported that there were many discrepancies in the electoral record of 105 scrutinized Poling stations.
And now they are reporting that everything is good and they didn't found a single fake/false vote.
Who cares anymore? The Noonies were saved by the innocent victims of APS anyway. The show is over... we're back to square 1.
