Darakshan police have registered a case against the mother who killed her two children in Defence, under the charge of murder as contained in Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The case was filed against the woman, Adiba, on the complaint of Ghafran Khalid, the father of the deceased children, four-year-old Samia and eight-year-old Zarrar.
The complainant stated that on August 14, around 2:30pm, his ex-wife Adiba informed him over the phone that he should find out what she had done.
When he asked what it was, she showed him, over video call, that she had killed their two children who were living with her, by slitting their throats with a knife.
Khalid stated that he immediately informed his family members, reached the spot, and reported the incident to the police.
The murder weapon was recovered from the woman's house.
After proceedings, the children's bodies were handed over to their family for burial rites.
